Description

DuraStir is Rhenium Alloys' line of friction stir welding (FSW) tools made from refractory metal materials, developed in partnership with EWI using GE-licensed tool technology. The tools are designed to solid-state weld hard metals such as steel, titanium and nickel-based alloys in sections up to 1 inch thick in a single pass, with durability for multiple welding passes, serving oil and gas, nuclear and military equipment manufacturers.
