Description

The M17LSB L is a hybrid laser-welding and wire-bonding system, developed with Fraunhofer ILT Aachen, that laser-welds aluminum, copper, or nickel ribbons at low bonding force for applications beyond the limits of ultrasonic bonding, while also supporting direct component laser-TAB welding. It targets power module interconnection, battery assembly, and RF/optical component manufacturing, offering touch-down sensing and image recognition for position tolerance, plus optional automatic tool cleaning and laser safety enclosures.
